Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 6.26%), Pokarna(up 5.12%), KIOCL(up 4.99%), Coal India(up 2.85%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.92%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.65%), NMDC Ltd(up 1.55%), Oriental Trimex(up 1.54%), Aro Granite Industries(up 1.07%) and Lexus Granito(up 0.26%) stood among the top gainers.
MOIL(down 0.74%) and Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.51%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 190.0 points up at 19047.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 634.65 points at 63782.8.
Axis Bank Ltd.(up 3.15%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.99%), Coal India Ltd.(up 2.85%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.65%), State Bank of India(up 2.58%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.31%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.17%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.17%), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.13%) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.12%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.45%), UPL Ltd.(down 0.42%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.2%), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.17%), ITC Ltd.(down 0.13%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.1%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.01%) closed in the red.
