Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.3% in an upbeat market
Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 1.91 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.07 per cent) and Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.4 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.3 per cent at 47501.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 49.6 points at 21668.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 135.91 points at 71793.62.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Easy Trip Planners, Indian Railway Fin, RattanIndia Power and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
