Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.02%
Shares of AU Small Finance Bank(up 2.77 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 2.51 per cent), Federal Bank(up 1.34 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 0.67 per cent) and Axis Bank(up 0.47 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, State Bank of India(down 0.56 per cent), HDFC Bank(down 0.43 per cent), Bank of Baroda(down 0.34 per cent) and ICICI Bank(down 0.34 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.02 per cent down at 43993.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 2.85 points at 19396.45, while the BSE Sensex stood up 3.94 points at 65220.03.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Trident Ltd, Reliance Power and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Yuken India, Dredging Corp, Birla Cable, Arham Technologies and Mold Tek Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Omaxe, Steel Exchange, Allcargo Terminals, Penta Gold and Jio Financial Servic hit their fresh 52-week lows.
