Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.47% in an upbeat market

HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.07 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.89 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.72 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.53 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(up 0.4 per cent) were among the top gainers.

LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.47 per cent at 42595.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 47.0 points at 25099.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 217.51 points at 82003.07.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, NBCC, TV18 Broadcast, IFCI and JM Financial were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Pokarna Ltd, Genesys Intnl, Godfrey Philips, Albert David and Aarey Drugs hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Globale Tessile, Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Eurotex Ind, Divgi Torqtransfer and Infomedia Press hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
