Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.19%

Shares of Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 3.01 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 2.37 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Sanofi India Ltd.(down 2.19 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.7 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.19 per cent up at 19160.75.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 0.96 points at 22513.7, while the BSE Sensex stood up 20.59 points at 74248.22.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 ended in the green, while 30 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Renewable, Indian Railway Fin and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Arvee Laboratories, SCI Land and Assets, Indraprastha Med, Automotive Stamp and Ind-Swift Labs hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Bodhi Tree Multimed, GIR Natureview, Lakshmi Precis, BDR Buildcon and Nila Spaces L hit their fresh 52-week lows.
