Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.95%
Shares of Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 5.62 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 5.58 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 4.7 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 3.51 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 2.89 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.95 per cent up at 683.05.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 231.9 points at 19675.45, while the BSE Sensex stood up 742.06 points at 65675.93.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 46 ended in the green, while 3 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, JP Power and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Bang Overseas, Sreeleather, Ahluwalia Contr, Gabriel India and Emkay Global hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Rajesh Exports, Atam Valves, Compuage Infocom, Winsome Yarns and Amines Plastic hit their fresh 52-week lows.
