Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.54% in a weak market

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.48 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.96 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.34 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.54 per cent at 995.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 121.71 points at 22583.0, while the BSE Sensex was down 379.62 points at 74123.28.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRB Infra Dev., Motherson Sumi, Tata Steel and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Exicom Tele-Systems, Emami, Heritage Foods, KNR Constructions and Suprajit Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Revathi Equipment, Borosil, Eurotex Ind, Future Supply Chain and Raj Television hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
