Stock market update: Power stocks up as market falls
Adani Energy Solutions Ltd.(up 5.11%), GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd.(up 5.00%), Adani Power Ltd.(up 4.44%), Ravindra Energy Ltd.(up 4.39%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd.(up 4.17%), Energy Development Company Ltd.(up 4.03%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(up 3.59%), Indowind Energy Ltd.(up 3.31%), Reliance Power Ltd.(up 3.01%) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd.(up 2.71%) were among the top gainers.
GE Vernova T&D India Ltd.(down 4.31%), Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat)Ltd.(down 3.97%), Torrent Power Ltd.(down 1.72%), Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(down 1.01%), Kalpataru Projects International Ltd.(down 0.45%) and Suzlon Energy Ltd.(down 0.37%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 1.75 points at 24192.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 25.42 points at 79978.64 at around 10:42AM.
