However, stocks such as Perfect Infraenginee(PP), Godha Cabcon & Insul, Atam Valves, Winsome Yarns and Compuage Infocom, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 27 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 23 closed in the red.

Reddys and Axis Bank were among top gainers during the day, while Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Finance, Coal India Ltd, JSW Steel and Divis Labs ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 16.29 points down at 64942.4.
