Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 160.9 points down at 22332.65 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Vibhor Steel Tubes, GRM Overseas, HMA Agro Industries, Exicom Tele-Systems and Ibull Housing Fin(PP), touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 19 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 31 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Apollo Hospital, Nestle India, SBI Life, Cipla and Bajaj Finserv were among top gainers during the day, while Tata Consumer, Bajaj Auto, Power Grid, Tata Steel and SBI ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 616.75 points down at 73502.64.
Traders piled up positions in Airlines, Telecommunications, Hospitals & Allied Services, Retail and Consumer Durables sectors, while selling was witnessed in FMCG, Agro Processing, Aquaculture, Logistics and Miscellaneous sectors during the day.
