Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 369.86 points up at 22967.65 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Brightcom Group, United Polyfab Gujar, Atal Realtech, GSS Infotech and Megastar Foods, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 44 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 6 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ent., Adani Ports SEZ, L&T, M&M and Axis Bank were among top gainers during the day, while Sun Pharma, Power Grid, Hindalco, Coal India Ltd and NTPC ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 1196.98 points up at 75418.04.
Traders piled up positions in Shipping, Telecommunications, Defence, Term Lending Institutions and Auto sectors, while selling was witnessed in Trading, Metals — Non Ferrous, General, Electric/Electronics and Hospitals & Allied Services sectors during the day.
