The Bengaluru-based entrepreneur is currently in the custody of Goa police for murdering her four-year-old son.
Upon investigation, the police found that her startup — Mindful AI Lab was not a proper office but a co-working space, according to anIndian Express report.
The accused is also the director of another Bengaluru-based machine intelligence firm, which was registered in September 2020 and is still active.
Despite being listed as a research fellow at the Raman Research Institute from 2008-2011, she dropped out from there in 2010 according toIndian Express.
According to a report by PTI, Seth smothered the boy to death. “ The child died due to strangulation. It doesn't look like the child was strangulated using hands. It looks like a pillow or some other material was used. The Rigor mortis had resolved in the child," told the coroner to the news agency. He also added that there were no signs of struggle or wounds on the toddler’s body.
The boy was cremated on Wednesday, at Harishchandra Ghat, Rajaji Nagar His father, Jakarta-based techpreneur Venkat Raman, performed the last rites.
According to reports an ugly custody battle between Seth and her ex-husband caused her to murder her son. Seth had interim custody of the child and did not want him to interact with her husband even when the court ordered Raman could visit him on Sundays.
Seth had allegedly tried to kill herself after she committed the murder. “She allegedly tried to kill herself by slitting her wrists using a pair of scissors. Blood samples have been collected and a DNA test will be done to verify this,” quoted the Indian Express report.
