Infosys Foundation Sudha Murty (73) has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the President of India Droupadi Murmu. The development was confirmed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on microblogging website X (formerly Twitter).

Sudha Ji's contributions to diverse fields including social work, philanthropy and education have been immense and inspiring. An author of popular children’s books, Murty is the wife of India’s veteran businessman and Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy and famously provided the first seed capital of Rs 10,000 for the setting up of Infosys.
