Netflix announced the renewal of 'Supacell' for a second season. The news was shared on the company's social media platforms on Tuesday. The show’s first season, which consists of six episodes, premiered in June and has gained significant popularity since its release.
'Supacell' follows the story of five individuals who unexpectedly gain superpowers. These characters have little in common, except for the fact that they are all Black South Londoners. Michael Lasaki, the central character, must unite this group to save the woman he loves.

The cast of 'Supacell' includes actors, such as Adelayo Adedayo, Calvin Demba, Tosin Cole, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Josh Tedeku, Eddie Marsan, Ky-mani Carty and Rayxia Ojo. The series was created by Rapman, who also serves as an executive producer and director. Sebastian Thiel directs alongside Rapman. Other executive producers include Steve Searle, Mouktar Mohammed and Anna Ferguson.

'Supacell' has performed well in terms of viewership. The show held the number one spot on Netflix's Top 10 English language TV charts for two consecutive weeks, covering July 1-7 and July 8-14.
