Taylor Swift and her Eras Tour have been super successful, and the singer-songwriter has been receiving appreciation from fans across the globe. So much so that a fan of Taylor Swift, known as Snowglobe Allie, invented a game called Fantasy Swiftball for the American singer’s fans.
How was the Swiftball game invented and what is it aboutSnowglobe Allie tells the story of Swiftball. It so happened that she had an extra CD of Taylor Swift's album Midnights (The Late Night Edition), which she had got at the MetLife Stadium concert of The Eras Tour in May 2023. Post the concert, Allie wanted to give away the CD, but in a unique way. Allie went on to Twitter (now known as X) and said that she wanted to give it as a prize. The fan-created an online poll where people had to guess Taylor Swift’s outfits and songs in the next concert show. It was a version of a “guessing game for a one-time giveaway”, Allie told USA Today, adding that “people enjoyed it so much, they asked me to do it again, and then again, and here we are now.” Two months later, Allie Fantasy Swiftball has already had 21 games with over 18,000 participants. Swifties – the nickname for Taylor Swift fans – love the Fantasy Swiftball.
