Decker, stationed in front of the center stage, shared in a TikTok video a few days after the event that he was instructed to focus on the crowd and not turn towards Taylor Swift. He recounted his effort to capture a photo of himself with Taylor Swift in the background by handing out notes to fans in the front row during the second night of the concert.
He expressed gratitude for the fans, who participated in this endeavor.
In an update video posted in August, Decker revealed that his employer, Best Crowd Management, terminated his employment citing a rule that prohibited staff from taking photos with performers, the reports said. Despite not personally delivering a note to the fan, who posted the viral TikTok video of him singing, Decker remained positive about the attention he received.
Decker stated that he was unaware of exactly why he was fired as his actions were limited to requesting photos, a practice he believed to be commonplace at concerts.
He highlighted that all the photos of him were taken from behind the barricade, similar to any fan's photos, and he never used his own phone during the concert. Decker emphasized that his top priority was ensuring Taylor Swift's safety and ensuring fans enjoyed the concert, as per reports.
