Taylor Swift phenomenon continues in the USA, with her sold-out concerts in The Eras Tour and now a movie that has been announced on her concert footage. The singer is overpowering everyone right now, including actor Meg Ryan, who was supposed to make a comeback with her new romantic comedy.
Once a sweetheart of Hollywood and the queen of rom-coms, Meg Ryan was all set to make a comeback in a new rom-com with David Duchovny of The X-Files. Meg Ryan has also directed the film.
Called What Happens Later, the rom-com looks rather sweet, from the trailer. But it seems it won't be released soon, as Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour Concert Film is coming out in October 2023 in theaters in the US and Canada.
Bleecker Street, the film company, announced on Twitter / X that Meg Ryan's film What Happens Later has been rescheduled from its release date of October 13, 2023, to three weeks later.
Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour Concert Film is also premiering in AMC theaters on October 13 this year.
What Happens Later will now be released on November 3, 2023. Bleecker Street retweeted Taylor Swift's post announcing The Eras Tour Concert Film and announced their own delay. «So we'll take our time...Are you ready for it? Meg Ryan ends her 14-year rom-com hiatus and the #Megaissance begins with #WhatHappensLater, now happening...later. Coming only to theaters November 3!» said the company.
It seems like a wise decision from the team of Meg Ryan's film, as Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour Concert Film tickets are a sellout, crashing the AMC app and breaking their single-day ticket sales record with $26
