TCS employee suicide: WhatsApp chat between Manav Sharma's wife and sister gets leaked
TCS employee Manav Sharma has reopened the debate on male domestic abuse faced by men. The 30-year-old youth from Agra was found hanging in his apartment on February 24. Before his death, Sharma had accused his wife Nikita of cheating on him, thereby necessitating him to take this drastic step.
However, his wife, Nikita Sharma, has dismissed the accusations, asserting that Manav was unfairly fixated on her past. She alleged that after learning about it, he became aggressive, resorted to self-harm, and developed an alcohol dependence. Nikita also stated that she persistently urged Manav’s sister, Akansha, on the night of his passing to check on him.
According to a News18 report, leaked WhatsApp conversations between the two substantiate her claims. In the messages, Akansha allegedly advised Nikita to «ignore» Manav’s calls and get some rest.
