The supercomputer has specifically claimed that Team GB will be standing at a 50-70 medal range throughout the Paris Olympics and has mentioned that the halfway mark of this count will be met by Great Britain within the first half of the Games.
There are a total of 327 British athletes taking part in the prestigious Paris Olympics, and if these reports are to be believed, a majority of them will be carrying home either a gold, silver or bronze medal. Team GB could also finish third in the overall medal tally, says the same Daily Express US report.
Team USA to cross 100 podium finishes, China projected to be second
Experts who have crunched the data in the supercomputer, are of the opinion that Team USA has the ability to end with 121 podium finishes, that will include 39 gold medals, making them the contenders for the top spot in the overall medal tally.
Meanwhile, China has been predicted to end up as the second-best nation in terms of the overall medal tally, according to the supercomputer, with 32 golds and 77 podium finishes. France is meanwhile, expected, to come in sixth, with an expectation of 16 gold medals.
