Indian companies are making significant investments in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and autonomous systems, it noted.
Job roles like Big Data specialists, AI and machine learning experts, and security management professionals are expected to experience the fastest growth in the country, said the report titled 'Future of Jobs 2025'.
To address talent needs, Indian companies are focusing on hiring from diverse talent pools and shifting towards skills-based hiring by eliminating degree requirements, the report noted.
Ahead of the WEF's annual meeting in Davos from January 20 to 25, the report revealed that 96% of organisations in India are running AI programmes compared to 88% globally.
