Ted Lasso will end after three seasons, it has been confirmed. The award-winning show is produced by Jason Sudeikis who also stars in it in the lead. Ted Lasso has won 11 Emmy Awards so far and has been nominated for 40 Emmys.Ted Lasso director Declan Lowney, in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, talked about the series finale and how difficult it was to say goodbye to the cast and crew. Lowney has been with the show since its first season in dual roles – as director for all three seasons, and as supervising producer for season two. The director proudly said that the US production, which has been shot in Richmond in the UK, is bigger than most English film and television productions.

The final episode of Ted Lasso was shot on a tight schedule, the director revealed. While the executive producers were discussing how the characters’ graph would have a proper end on the show, he had to concentrate on shooting the scenes of actor Juno Temple in the first 10 days of the schedule, as she had to leave the show. “Saying goodbye to her (Juno) was heartbreaking,” he said.

Declan Lowney revealed that Apple TV+ has not provided a yes or a no for the Ted Lasso new season, so, as of now, Ted Lasso season 3 is the last and final season. «Everybody knew it was the end, but it’s also the end for now,» he said. It is not clear if Apple TV+ will have any spin-offs for its characters.
