Telangana Assembly Election Result 2023 Winners List: The Telangana Assembly Election Results have put the Congress in a commanding position, possibly paving way for the return of the grand old party in the region it ruled before the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh a decade ago. The party, as per Election Commission of India data, has gained majority in the 119-member Telangana Assembly. Polling in the state, the last to go to polls, was held on November 30. The magic number required to form a government is 60 and the Congress was in a commanding position to form a government of its own at the time of filing this report.
TELANGANA ELECTIONS 2023
The Telangana elections saw an intense fight between the ruling K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS government and the Congress, which emerged as its key challenger. The BJP, which led a spirited campaign in the state, may have to settle in single figures. The defeat of KCR, who has been the Chief Minister since June 2014, will be out of power for the first time in the state. The outcome also dashes the hopes of KCR who has been instrumental in the past in trying to stitch together an anti-Congress, anti-BJP front.
