Prince Harry has distanced himself from a report suggesting that he would witness his mother's final moments in the concluding season of The Crown on Netflix. According to reports,' the Duke of Sussex will not stream the final season of Peter Morgan’s show due to the “sensitive nature” of its content.
Furthermore, it is clear that Prince Harry does not have any ill feelings towards the creation of the show or the platform it will be streamed on. However, the prince was not consulted over the show and had no advanced sight of episodes.
Earlier on Thursday, The Daily Telegraph newspaper stated that Prince Harry planned to watch the last season of the show, having watched preceding seasons The Duke of Sussex has acknowledged having watched the series and joked recently when he appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert saying that he uses a pen and paper to fact-check.
Back in 2021, when Prince Harry appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, he revealed that the show 'The Crown' gives a sense of “putting duty and service above family and everything else.” The Duke of Sussex further added that he is way more comfortable with the show as compared to reading stories about his family or his wife.
«I am more comfortable with the series as compared to watching stories written about my family or even my wife.»
He also added the series (The Crown) is fiction and one can take however they wish to.
The Crown is a popular drama show on Netflix that depicts Prince William and Harry’s final call with Diana.
