The Design Village (TDV) has signed an MOU with Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI), School of Design Italy to strengthen their academic ties and foster collaboration in the field of design education. This agreement will pave the way for a rich exchange of knowledge and resources between the two institutions aiming to provide students with a global perspective and enhance their skills and competencies, as per the press release.
The objective of this collaboration is to promote academic exchange and teaching cooperation between POLIMI and TDV, through student exchange activities for either PSSD, Integrated Product Design, Communication Design, Interior and Spatial Design, or Product, Space, and Interior and Fashion and Textile Design Master programs.
“I believe that students have lived a life learning experience which will for sure leave a mark for their future. As a professor, I have enjoyed allowing this to happen and I believe that this kind of educational activities should become part of a students curriculum,” Valentina Auricchio, assistant professor, senior researcher at Politecnico di Milano, said.
The vision of this MOU will be achieved through educational exchange, and student engagement opportunities organised by both institutes. The Design Village will also organise the next joint studio in February 2024, which will welcome faculty members and learners from TU Delft (Netherlands) and Politecnico di Milano (Italy).
