Daily Star UK's report suggests that the Nintendo Switch 2 could priced higher than the expected figures due to the upcoming 'Trump tariffs', that will affect chipmakers who export their products into the US. Since Nintendo's chips primarily come from overseas, there are major chances that Trump tariffs may directly impact Nintendo Switch 2's pricing.
Not only Nintendo Switch 2, but any other relevant and popular tech product could see a sudden price jump after the implementation of the proposed tariffs. Although it is still now known where Switch 2's chips will be manufactured, if they were to be manufactured overseas, chances are high that the prices of the product could see a major elevation.
A suitable alternative would be to produce this gaming console's chips inside the US, which again, is just a theory, but that is one of the most obvious ways to evade Trump tariffs.
