Several venture capital-backed brands focusing on health and wellness have been launched in the last five years to help fill a void in the Indian D2C offering. “As consumers are getting more health-conscious and looking for safe and effective solutions with long term benefits; we see a huge potential for gut health.
The Good Bug is at the forefront of this booming segment with their innovative and effective products," said Ankur Khaitan, principal, Fireside Ventures. The firm is a consumer-sector focused venture capital fund. The gut health industry is very nascent in India, though globally it is growing at a fast clip.
