G20 Summit which is to be held in the national capital from September 8 to 10.
In total, gates of 39 metro stations that open towards the VVIPS Route will be closed. Additionaly, certain stations including Supreme Court, Janpath, Bhikaji Cama Place, Khan Market, and Dhaula Kuan, have been designated as 'Sensitive' stations.
As per a letter of DCP Metro G.
Ram Gopal Naik addressed to the Chief Security Commissioner, all gates of the Supreme Court metro station will remain closed from September 8 to 10.
At Khan Market station, gate numbers 1, 2, and 3 are to be closed, while gate number 4 will remain open for entry and exit.
Gate number 2 of Kailash Colony station is slated for closure, and at Lajpat Nagar metro station, all gates except gate number 5 will be closed.
Janpath station, marked as sensitive, will only have gate number 2 operational.
For Bhikaji Cama Place, another station marked as sensitive, all gates are instructed to be closed, according to the DCP metro's letter.
However, commuters at stations such as Aero City, Dhaula Kuan, South Campus, Dwarka Sec-21, Panchsheel Park, Chirag Delhi, Greater Kailash, Nehru Enclave, Kalkaji Mandir, Rajiv Chowk, Chawri Bazar, and Chandni Chowk will face no restrictions on entry and exit.
The two-day G20 Summit, commencing on September 9, is expected to host leaders and delegates from 40 countries, including the 20 member states.
