Third eye: Requests for unusual items, clearing the air and no free travel
Requests for unusual items: During frisking and scanning in Parliament complex, security personnel come across various unusual items that are not permitted inside the premises. While cigarettes, lighters and matchboxes are common, ladies are at times found carrying nail-cutters, nail-polish, and some cosmetics which cannot be taken inside the high security area.
Some visitors make unusual requests like permission to carry vapes which are banned too.
Clearing the air!: While speaking in the Uttar Pradesh assembly, power minister AK Sharma on Wednesday said that he rarely visits Delhi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath knows about that.
Several ministers, including deputy CMs Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, keep visiting Delhi regularly to meet BJP’s central leadership. Sharma said that any attempt to create confusion between him and the CM will not succeed.
The remarks come in the wake of speculation that Sharma and Adityanath are not on good terms.
No free travel: Indian Railways has categorically denied reports claiming that passengers will be allowed to travel for free during the Kumbh Mela. The railways reminded passengers that travelling without a valid ticket is “strictly prohibited” and a punishable offence.
