The change became effective on 27 October and the trust has become identifiable under the new name on the London Stock Exchange from 8am today (31 October).

The move followed ThomasLloyd GAM's unsuccessful vote to oust the board of the trust, following allegations that the board was misled by the manager.

In August, shareholders voted against the vehicle's continuation in its existing format, following weeks of conflict between the investment manager and board.
Octopus Energy Generation was selected as the trust's transitional investment manager last month, set to hold position until 30 April 2024.
The trust's ticker will also change from TLEI for US dollars and TLEP for sterling to AEIT and AEIP, respectively. A new corporate website for the company will be launched from tomorrow, the trust added.
