TikTok like other social media platforms has option for users to recover their accounts. So, even if TikTok users have locked their accounts, these can be recovered. TikTok generally makes accounts inaccessible to users for a number of reasons. These could be due to forgotten password or account is blocked.
Nonetheless, the process of recovering your TikTok account is straightforward and can be completed through a few simple steps, as per a report in dexerto.
To begin, launch the TikTok app on your mobile device. Navigate to the profile icon and tap on it, which will direct you to the login screen. From there, select the «already have an account?» option. Next, choose the «use phone/email/username» option. If you initially signed up using an email or another method, you'll need to select that option next. If you opt for the «email/username» route, tap on «forgot password?»
Select either «phone» or «email» to request a password reset link. Once you've received the verification code, input it within the app. Proceed to reset your password, and you should regain access to your account without any issues, dexerto reported.
US President Joe Biden belatedly joined TikTok on Sunday, marking his debut on the social media platform with a 26-second video. The move comes after fierce US government criticism of the video-sharing platform in recent years, most notably from Republicans but also from the Biden administration.
