Tori Spelling discusses challenges of ‘single mom Christmas’ after split with Dean McDermott
Tori Spelling has discussed the challenges of solo parenting during the holiday season in a recent Instagram Story. The 50-year-old actress shared her Christmas preparations as a single mother after parting ways with Dean McDermott, 57.
Juggling shopping for her five children, she humorously mentioned being a tad late for online shopping, noting on December 22 that she finally purchased her first Christmas gift– a festive disco ball adorned with green garland and red ribbon.
She mentioned that she had “5 Christmas lists to tackle' and only '3 days to do it.”
Explaining her situation, she noted that she needed to “brave the mall alone.”
She shared that she had missed the deadline to order anything online and for shipping to arrive in time for Christmas morning.
She wrote that she was “crushing this single mom Christmas 2023” alongside a laughing emoji.
Spelling is the mother of three sons — Liam, 16, Finn, 10, and Beau, 6 — and two daughters — Stella, 15, and Hattie, 11 — with her now-estranged husband.
Additionally, McDermott is the father of son Jack, 25, from his first marriage to ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace.
This Christmas marks the family's first since Spelling and the Due South actor separated earlier this year.
In a since-deleted Instagram post in June, McDermott announced that they had split after 17 years of marriage.
In the previous month, he disclosed, for the first time since their separation, details about the breakdown of their marriage during an interview with DailyMail.com.
