biopic of legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has been released.
Sachin Tendulkar unveiled the trailer earlier today. Former Sri Lanka cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya was also present at the event.
The movie, titled 800, is set to be released on October 6 this year.
The film will release on October 6, 2023, in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu.

Oscar-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire' actor Madhurr Mittal will be seen portraying the role of the legendary Sri Lankan spinner in his biopic.
Written and directed by MS Sripathy, the film will be released in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu.
Muralitharan, a member of the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame, is widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the sport.
Muralitharan, who made his test debut in 1992 and his ODI debut a year later, is the only bowler to take 800 Test wickets and 530+ ODI wickets. He is also the highest wicket-taker in both Test and ODI formats and averages over six wickets per Test match.
Notably, Muralitharan had dismissed Tendulkar a total of 13 times in his career.
Earlier while speaking at the event, Muralitharan said while several Indian batters including Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir read his bowling, current India head coach Dravid did not.
