Tropical Storm Greg moves near HawaiiThe Central Pacific Hurricane Center has said that the tropical storm sweeping at the highest speed of 45mph is most likely to pass through 500 miles south of Hawaii on Wednesday and Thursday. This path is similar to that followed by Hurricane Dora, but a little bit closer.
Tropical Storm Greg Impact on HawaiiThe experts have said that tropical storm Greg is much weaker in nature with its outer wind extended only 35 miles from the center of the storm. The Hurricane Center Field Office in Honolulu has said that Greg will not have a direct impact on Hawaii. So, it is not likely to have a devastating impact on the wildfire that has been raging for days.
Dora Complicated Wildfire ProblemHurricane Dora was much more powerful compared to the tropical storm Greg. Located 680 miles south, it moved west. Its outer wind extended 30 miles from the center of the storm, but its tropical storm wind extended 105 miles from the center. Dora created high gusty winds over Maui on August 8 and complicated the wildfire problem.
