Trump off for golf tournament
The President departed Joint Base Andrews around 3 pm bound for Miami where he visited his Trump National Doral Golf Club — the site of this weekend’s LIV Golf tournament, reported HuffPost. Trump attended a 7:30 p.m. dinner marking the start of the golf event, which is backed by Saudi Arabia and embroiled in a yearslong feud with the U.S.-based PGA Tour, the report mentioned. He ended his day at Mar-a-Lago, the seaside resort where he has spent most of his weekends since retaking office.
This is the eighth time Trump has returned to his Florida home in Palm Beach since his inauguration. It is the his ninth weekend in Florida since he took office in January. President Trump has spent all but two weekends of his presidency so far in the Sunshine State.
