The 53-year-old was taken into custody early in the morning and booked into the Nassau County Jail and Detention Centre. Authorities later released his mugshot, which showed a bruised and cut right eye.
Bar altercation leads to Eric Mabius’ arrest
The incident took place at The Goat, a bar on Lofton Square Court, where Mabius and a 40-year-old woman were reportedly intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Witnesses said the bartender repeatedly asked the woman to leave, but both she and Mabius refused and allegedly began spitting on other patrons.
The situation quickly escalated when Mabius allegedly shoved a female victim to the ground and pulled out clumps of her hair. A bystander intervened to separate Mabius from the victim before authorities arrived at the scene. According to the police report, when officers attempted to investigate, Mabius became uncooperative and refused to comply with orders to remain seated. At one point, he attempted to move behind an officer, prompting deputies to intervene and place him under arrest for resisting without violence.
