UK election results are formally declared with Keir Starmer's Labour Party grabbing an outright majority with Rishi Sunak's Conservative Party falling well behind in the poll race. Interestingly, even though the Labour Party have a majority share of seats, its vote percentage stands at a mere 34%. If that is not all, Reform UK managed to win only 4 seats with a significant 14 percent vote share but the Conservatives attained 121 seats with only 24 per cent. This calculation factor has raised many eyebrows and people still cannot figure out why this happens during UK general elections.
The highest vote share of 34%, of course, went to the Labour Party, who bagged 412 seats in the UK General Elections 2024. Meanwhile, the Conservatives cam in second with a 24% vote share and 121 seats. Lib Dem and Reform UK followed next with 12% and 14% vote share respectively but with a little twist in the number of seats. With their 12% vote share, Lib Dem managed to secure a whopping 71 seats whereas Reform UK could manage only 4.
