NYPD precinct in Manhattan. Authorities responded swiftly to assess potential threats.
On Thursday around 4 p.m., an unidentified man dropped a gallon-sized glass jug outside the 6th Precinct stationhouse on West 10th Street near Hudson Street. The jug had a note warning about chlorine gas, law enforcement sources reported.
The note stated, “I seriously hope you didn’t open that jar because chlorine gas is a bitch.” It further warned that another container, described as either a jar or a bag, could contain a bomb. The note mentioned that the next target would be the West Virginia International Yeager Airport.
The man, who remains unidentified, was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hoodie, sunglasses, a face covering and black sneakers. He left the area quickly after placing the object near the precinct, according to authorities.
