“The partnerships will cover curriculum design, training of trainers, a skills certification framework, and periodic reviews,” finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said while presenting the Union Budget 2025-26 on Saturday.

“The government’s articulation of ‘Make in India, Make for the World’, through the establishment of five national skilling centres with global expertise, is a game-changer in enhancing India’s global competitiveness and workforce potential,” Shruti Swaroop, founder of Embrace Consulting, a global HR firm, said.
