Opposition alliance, INDIA, met victims of ethnic violence in relief camps in Manipur. The MPS stated the Union government is not concerned about Manipur. The parliamentary delegations from 16 parties visited both the valley and hill districts and interacted with affected people of both communities. The delegation, in two teams, visited Churachandpur and Moirang. JDU leader Lalan Singh said: «We have come here to assess the situation with the message that we are with the people of Manipur. We appeal to all communities to stay like brothers. Manipur should come to peace and abjure violence.» Senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, «We want the end of violence and the restoration of peace at the earliest. The entire world is watching what is going on in Manipur.» Trinamool Congress' Rajya Sabha member Sushmita Dev said, «We would not meet Chief Minister (N. Biren Singh) as he is a villain to the ongoing ethnic conflict in Manipur. BJP and its governments are responsible for the Manipur crisis and loss of many lives and the mayhem. BJP is a lost face, Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) is a lost face.»
