Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President offered prayers at a gurudwara on Jorasanko in Kolkata on Tuesday on the occasion of "Veer Bal Diwas" and offered pujas at Kalighat Temple, ahead of a crucial strategy meeting for Lok Sabha 2024 polls.
BJP central leadership is likely to create a strategic planning for the Lok Sabha polls in a high-level meeting in a hotel in the eastern fringes of Rajarhat. The high-level close door strategy meeting with Shah and Nadda will be attended by eight top leaders of Bengal BJP's inner circle and two central observers.
BJP state President Sukanta Majumdar and LoP Suvendu Adhiakri will be present at this confidential meeting.
MPs Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato, Locket Chatterjee and BJP's general secretary (Organization) Amitava Chakravorty will also be present at the meeting.
Two former BJP state Presidents Dilip Ghosh and Rahul Sinha will also attend the meeting. Two central observers Asha Lakra and Mangal Pandey and co-observer Amit Malviya, will be present at the meeting.
«Before the crucial Lok Sabha election in the next four months, all political parties make deliberations and discussions.
It is the party's internal matter and not for the media,» Adhikari said, when asked about the details of the meeting.
The two central leaders arrived in Kolkata last night together. Shah and Nadda reached the gurudwara today morning and stayed there for more than 20 minutes where prayers were chanted.
