Investing.com — United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:UAL) said Tuesday it asked the Federal Aviation Administration to suspend its departure flights nationwide as it grapples with a computer issue.
The ground stop was lifted for the U.S. and Canada
"We are experiencing a systemwide technology issue and are holding all aircraft at their departure airports," United Airline said in a statement.
«Flights that are already airborne are continuing to their destination as planned. We're currently investigating and will share more information as it becomes available,» it added.
United Airlines Holdings was down 3% in recent trading.
