US Election 2024: Laura Loomer fires back at Bill Maher’s Donald Trump ‘arranged relationship’ joke, threatens to file lawsuit
Bill Maher joked that Laura Loomer and Donald Trump might be in an «arranged relationship» to influence the 2024 election. Maher's comments came during his HBO show Real Time. He also suggested that personalities like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are pretending to date to sway voters for the same purpose.
Maher described Loomer as «very close to Trump» and speculated, “I think maybe Laura Loomer's in an arranged relationship to influence the election because she's very close to Trump.” He added, “She's 31 and looks like his type.” Maher further stated, “Who's Trump f******? Because I said, it's not nobody. He's been a dog for too long. And it's not Melania. I think we may have our answer this week.”
In response, Loomer firmly denied any relationship with Trump and called Maher's claims a «complete and blatant lie.» She threatened to sue Maher for defamation, terming the allegations as “incredibly disrespectful” to both Melania and Trump. She referred to the accusations as a coordinated attack against her as an investigative journalist.
