Uttar Pradesh school holidays calendar: List for 2024 released; here are the details

The list was released recently by Secretary, Basic Education Pratap Singh Baghel.
Six holidays during 2024 will fall on Sundays, which means students will have to write these off from their schedules.
The holidays falling on Sundays during the year are Holika Dahan, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti, Chehallum, and Guru Teg Bahadur Jayanti.
Besides, one of the four offs specified between Diwali and Chitragupta Jayanti will fall on a Sunday. These make for a total loss of six holidays during the year.
On the other hand, there are five holidays that will fall on either Saturday or Monday, meaning and extended break for students.
The winter vacation during the year is scheduled to start on December 31 and end on January 14.
