Why did JD Vance get annoyed at CBS?
CBS moderators did not play by the general rules of the VP debate and chose to interrupt the conversation with their version of data against Vance' which was not apparently welcome from the Republicans' end, and he promptly replied to the moderators in a rather annoyed tone.

He then went on to talk about the 'legal status' which the Biden administration has in place, and which would be then scooped up by the Harris administration, which includes logging into an app called CBP One, registering as an illegal immigrant and then applying for asylum or parole. Social media users were quick to note that there is more than truth in Vance' words and migrant crisis is indeed a problem in the United States, and Vance' words were verifiably correct during this debate, which the CBS News moderators tried to bypass, leading to the massive war of words and controversy.
