Besides Steve Carell, The Office actor lending his voice to Gru, the trailer which is two minutes 26 seconds long introduces the viewers to Will Ferrell playing the role of Maxime, the new antagonist, and to his girlfriend Valentina portrayed by Sofia Vergara.
Sweet Child O'Mine, the legendary rock band Guns N'Roses's 1987 song starts playing at the very beginning of the trailer, giving a glimpse of the family life of Gru with him coming back home to his three adopted daughters, his wife, and his newborn son. But soon there is a turn of events with Maxime Le Mal, the new rival of Gru, fleeing away from the prison and planning a vengeance against Gru, compelling the latter to go on the loose.
With Gru and his family embarking on their latest road adventure, they accomplish an audacious heist with the assistance of the minions. They unite with each other to protect the family and save it from the newly introduced villain.
Steered by Chris Renaud, the director of The Secret Life of Pets and Despicable Me 4, the film will be hitting the theatres on July 4, 2024.
The events of the impending film follow the story of Gru who got suspended from the Anti-Villain League in recent times, departing to a peace-filled life and embarking on a journey to meet his brother who is missing in the film franchise's third installment.
