Wendy Williams clears mental capacity test after cognitive impairment claims
Wendy Williams successfully completed a psychological evaluation, also referred to as a capacity test, shortly after she was admitted to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City on Monday.
The former Wendy Williams Show host, 60, reportedly scored a perfect 10 out of 10 on a test that evaluated her alertness and orientation, sources told TMZ.
Williams' psychological tests are expected to be sent to the judge overseeing her guardianship case. The positive results may improve her chances of being released from a financial guardianship that she has been under since 2022.

Williams was asked about the tests she had taken to assess whether her cognitive abilities were strong enough to end her court-ordered guardianship; she confidently stated that she passed them “with flying colours.”
According to TMZ, she was accompanied by a caregiver named Gina, who is not linked to the guardianship.

When asked how long she anticipated staying in the hospital, Williams replied, «I’m waiting to see my lawyer. I saw her yesterday; she’ll be here today.»

Wendy Williams drops troubling note from window
Earlier on Monday, Williams sent a distressing note from her window to a paparazzo, simply reading, “HELP! WENDY!!”
The incident occurred around 11:15 AM when Williams, who has been living in a memory care facility due to her dementia diagnosis, threw the note from her fifth-floor window.
Law enforcement sources told The New York Post that the 60-year-old was seen waving her arms from the window and talking on the phone shortly after sending the note.
