


West Bengal: CBI enquiry has been ordered into PM POSHAN scheme, claims Suvendu Adhikari
Leader of Opposition (LoP) in state assembly Suvendu Adhikari on Friday claimed that the central agency CBI has been requested by the Union Ministry of Education “to make a detailed inquiry to ascertain the misappropriation, misuse and diversion of PM POSHAN funds.”
“I am elated to know that the @CBIHeadquarters has been requested by the Union Ministry of Education to make a detailed inquiry to ascertain the misappropriation, misuse and diversion of PM POSHAN funds for purposes other than the objectives of the scheme, in WB.
My perseverant persuasion to fix culpability and ensure strict punishment for those who misappropriated funds meant for the nutrition and nourishment of the children of West Bengal, has been honoured. I wholeheartedly thank Hon'ble Union @EduMinOfIndia, Shri @dpradhanbjpJi for considering my plea,” Adhikari took to X-Handle and said.
Adhikari said in a public rally today, “Mamata Banerjee government has used funds from Mid-Day meal and gave compensation through BDOs in Bogtui. Compensation was given to train accident victims also.
During Covid, rice for Mid-day meals have been looted. Irregularities in PM Poshan will now undergo a CBI probe...”
