Despite the overwhelming opposition, certain groups showed more support. 28% of recent immigrants, 13% of Albertans, 12% of men, and 17% of young adults (18-34) were more open to the idea of statehood.

Trade tensions have led Canadians to support their economy by buying local. According to the poll:
- 66% have increased purchases of Canadian-made products
