NASA astronaut passes away in space, there are certain 'death simulations' that others present in the group need to follow. A NASA astronaut has recently revealed all the kinds of make-believe scenarios and simulations they need to practice on in order to be ready for the outer space challenges.
These virtual scenarios and simulations are a part of a NASA astronaut's everyday routine, and they need to be even ready for scenarios including an asteroid hitting Earth and if the Earth stopped spinning, according to a Daily Express US report.
A former commander of the International Space Station (ISS), Chris Hadfield, has explained that NASA prepares its personnel using 'death simulations', which sounds quite interesting and scary at the same time.
According to Hadfield, if someone passed away while on an EVA [extravehicular activity], the first thing an astronaut should do would be to bring them inside the airlock first, and keep them inside their pressurized suit, so that the body decomposes faster.
Moreover, the other personnel would not have to smell the decomposition odor of the body if it is inside the pressurized suit.
