Navya’s decision to pursue an MBA stems from her drive to carve out her own identity. In an earlier conversation on Nikhil Kamath's WTF podcast, Navya explained, “I come from a lot, and I’m proud of that, but I’ve always wanted to build something of my own. It’s important for me to have something that belongs to me.” Despite her privileged background, she emphasized that success is about finding her own path, beyond the legacy she inherits.
Navya has been deeply involved in her family's business, spending about 60% of her time working on various aspects of the tractor and agri-machinery sector with Escorts Kubota, a company her father oversees. However, her ambitions don’t stop at the family business. “For me, it’s always been about building something meaningful,” she added, hinting at her desire to expand her horizons through education and entrepreneurship.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Navya has been running a non-profit organization, Project Naveli, which focuses on areas like education, healthcare, legal awareness, and entrepreneurship for women. She launched the initiative during the 2020 lockdown, initially focusing on providing sanitary products to women who lacked access to menstrual hygiene resources.
